Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman considers that a provision of the draft law No. 3693 "On amendments to Law of Ukraine "On status of local councils deputies", which envisions local councils deputies recall to be a real power grab.
"I strongly condemn the draft law No. 3693 on local councils, as that is a real attempt to usurp power," Groysman said.
According to the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada, any recall of elected deputies by different party bodies is unacceptable.
At the same time, speaking about the draft law No. 3700 that touches the exclusion of people's deputy candidates from the election list in multi-mandate constituencies, Groysman said that only its putting on the agenda is being discussed. "How to vote — everyone votes the way he or she considers to be appropriate," he noted.
